Do Hair Products Cause Breakouts?
If acne breakouts are concentrated on the hairline, forehead, temples, sides of the face, neck and jawline, sideburns, scalp, behind the ears or upper back your hair products may be the culprit. Whatever you put in your hair will migrate onto your skin and cause breakouts. You perspire when you sleep, overheat, get stressed and exercise, when this happens your hair products can travel to other parts of your skin. Check all your products for pore-clogging ingredients. Hairspray must be light and unscented; cover your face with a paper plate before you spray. This trick won’t work with oil sheen, braid spray or scented hairspray.
